Horse Art Gallery and Picture Framers is
located in “The Arcade” in the heart
of the beautiful seaside town of Swakopmund in Namibia.
Swakopmund is a charming
oasis with its old-world German colonial architecture
and striking scenic beauty, and nestles comfortably
between the wild Atlantic Ocean and the Namib Desert,
the world’s most ancient sea of sand. This

Hobby Horse Art Gallery
offers a wide selection of outstanding original
Namibian art and craft. Representing a large number
of talented artists, be they established professional
or new developing artists, the variety of artwork
in this spacious gallery satisfies all lovers of
art. Works include oil, acrylic and watercolour
paintings; pencil; charcoal and pastel drawings;
paintings on leather; graphics; mixed-media; photography;
ceramics; sculpture and handmade crafts and gifts;
etc. Unique shadow-box-framed African artifacts
and clocks are designed and crafted in their picture-framing
workshop on the premises of this gallery. Collectable
rare artworks by deceased “South West African”
master artists are also occasionally available for
sale and exhibitions are regularly hosted for artists.
Stockists of a large
range of specialist supplies and materials for the
artist, craftest and hobbyist, expert advice and
guidance in the use of the multitude of materials
is generously given and customers in remote areas
are assisted with a prompt mail-order delivery service.
